SOLETHU Energy draws from the vast experience it has within the industry and has involved in large electrical reticulation projects both urban and rural. The reticulation involves both overhead and underground. Understanding the dynamics of the country and the importance of empowering all the people by proving electricity, our company has geared itself adequately and has been more involved in rural electrification.
Electrical metering and vending
Our vast experience with most types of electrical metering systems, including our ability to align with preferred vender service providers, ensures that we are ideally placed to provide this often neglected, yet crucially important service to clients such as Supply Authorities, Body Corporates, Property Investors, Landlords and Letting Agents. With this service we guarantee clients a legally complaint meter installation, whilst justifying their investments by ensuring their returns.
Electrical distribution
Our involvement in the electrical distribution networks ranges from all aspects of construction of electrical distribution networks, whether it is the refurbishment of an existing infrastructure, or the construction of new infrastructure, we draw on our fast experience and technical know-how to provide our clients with a project that is on time and within budget.

Electrical substations
Solethu Energy has gained proficient experience over the years with both substation and switch house construction, ranging from 11kV to 132kV, in both the public (Municipalities and Eskom) and private sectors. With our skilled staff, and selected partners, we are suitably qualified and able to construct and commission conventional outdoor substations (AIS) and switch houses.
Overhead transmission lines
One of our corner stone infrastructure construction services over the years have been power line erections. Our highly proficient, very well resourced overhead line construction units are able to construct lines from 230V LV lines right up to 132kV (Stringing only). We have on all our projects either met, or exceeded the project standards, leaving behind functional, reliable and community accepted systems for our clients. Various Municipalities and Eskom Regions across the country have profited from our high quality delivered projects.
Road and area lighting (Street light and High mast lighting) N1 Streetlight Project at Cape Town (street lighting project between the Old Oak Road and Koeberg interchanges) is a highlight of the size and technically advance project that our team is capable of delivering. Our experience includes high masts and street lights.
Maintenance of electrical networks
Maintaining the electrical infrastructure is one of the most critical element in extending the life of the network and thus ensuring continuous electricity. Our team understands this and have been involved in the maintenance for years.

As energy efficiency, renewable energy, infrastructure management and sustainability have become some of the most important factors affecting the economy, society and the environment today; we have and are continuously investing considerable resources and time to further on our experience and knowledge to organically grow the unit. This approach has allowed us to build sound relationships over the past few years with large international energy efficiency and renewable energy supplier firms, and being actively involved with some of these partners in the Department of Energy’s (DoE) current REBID programme for sourcing renewable energy generation from Independent Power Producers.
